The UNESCO Chair has been
established since April 2003 under the auspices of Université
Tunis El Manar.
Its activity takes place at Ecole Nationale
d'Ingénieurs de Tunis. The project has been presented
on January 2001 to UNESCO, and it has been supported by the following
institutions:
SERST (Secrétariat d'Etat à la Recherche Scientifique et à la Technologie, Tunisie)
CIMPA (International Center of Pure and Applied Mathematics, Nice, France)
Académie
Tunisienne des Sciences, des Lettres et des Arts (Beït
El Hikma)
ICTP (The Abdus Salam International
Centre for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italie )
Besides, the UNESCO Chair activity has obtained the support of the following institutions:
AUF (Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie), through the regional excellence pole in Applied Mathematics set up at LAMSIN.
INRIA (Institut
National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique ),
through the association of LAMSIN with INRIA the E-Didon
group at INRIA.
SMAI (Société Mathématique Appliquées et industrielles)
IFC (Institut Français de Coopération)
